Thinking about school. Thinking about things I might miss about school…

· collective boredom. It’s so much more bearable when you have a bunch of friends to moan to about it.

· Being older than most of the other people there (I said people, not teachers). Sometimes the little newbies can be kinda cute. Especially when they’re trembling in terror.

· the cool stuff in the design room

· There are thousands of us. I like being in a mob. It’s better at the Big Day Out, but that nervous look on relief teachers’ faces when they arrive at the school is suh-weet…

· Nana in the café. 'Nana' because she fusses over everyone but she’s actually 25, has dreads and gives us free stuff all the time.

· those moments in class (rare, I know) when you actually really get something, and it’s interesting, and other people get it as well and you look at each other and think – oh! so that’s what it’s meant to be like all the time. Actually, that’s really depressing, now I think about it

· the last day of term. Escape, holidays, plans, parties… Sometimes it almost makes the term-time worth it. But … nah, not really.
